Elvis 2022
I’ve always found baz’s work to be very pretty, if nothing else (which generally makes me more forgiving toward a movie’s plot, or lack thereof), but Elvis felt like it lost glamor and gained repetitiveness as it progressed, becoming more and more of a slog. Not at all horrible, and still quite pretty, but lost the glamorous promise it started off with (+ it felt like all its best moments were used up in the trailer).
