  It was kind of disappointing.
  There are few elements that just doesn't make sense like the all plot around the charcot disease and the reasons why the main character is never told about her condition.

  This movie felt confusing only for the sake of it.

  At the end, there is still a few good scenes and some nice character development.

  Hood Witch 2023

  Many themes are dealt with: witchcraft and its relationship with religion, life as a single mother, domestic violence, life in French hoods...
  There's also a remarkable mix of tone between comedy and drama.

  It's done with great finesse and nuance. A very good debut feature.

  Nothing new, nothing mind-blowing but it's well done.

  I'm kind of tired of all the edgy teenager stuff associated to the vampire genre but the family trying to fit into the normies world was well written.

  It feels like two movies in one, it's very difficult to rate it.
  The first part feels like a Hitchcock-like take on the paranoïac thriller/home invasion type of movie. It works well without being that original.

  But the last third goes crazy, it goes stupid but in a great way. The movie is memorable only for this part but what a ride.
