“Defeat? This is a conclave, Aldo. It's not a war.”
“IT IS A WAR!”
Incredible score, beautiful visuals, and Fiennes is the best of the best. Not sure I’m a fan of this ending.
“What kind of show is it, Lorne? Do you even know what the show is?”
“Did anyone ask Edison what a lightbulb was before he harnessed electricity?”
“Who are you in the metaphor?”
Unfortunately, Saturday Night is a bit of a self-absorbed SNL/Lorne Michaels nostalgia glaze fest, where the laughs struggle to land and the dialogue is bloated. Still enjoyable, but the second half dragged like a cement filled refrigerator.
“I like Anora. I mean I like Anora more than Ani.”
“Okay. Says the fuckhead named Igor. Fucking Igor. Stupid name.”
What a ride. Madsen’s performance is the engine here, and there are multiple laugh out loud scenes all while painting a heavier emotional background.

"Why should I kill myself worrying when I'll end up just as dead?"
Lamberto Maggiorani is masterful, and Enzo Staiola delivers an insane performance for a 9 year old. Powerful statement on post-War inequality and the moral conflicts it causes.

“The gates of hell are open night and day; Smooth the descent, and easy is the way: But to come back from hell and view the cheerful skies, In this the task and mighty labor lies.”
Mescal just did not fit, actively cringed every time he tried to give a speech. Some great action scenes, but was never invested in the greater story like its predecessor.
“Wolves don't kill unlucky deer. They kill the weak ones.”
Not for the faint of heart, another great piece of Sheridan’s Frontier Trilogy.
