This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Mostly boring, I struggled to differentiate between a lot of the characters so when it was doing extended introductions of characters in groups of 2-3 where each guy is practically interchangeable outside of Sammy Davis it was rough. A lot of stuff is set up only for it to go absolutely nowhere. Like, the net change here is one man dying to put his kid through college. No character nor their relationships meaningfully change or develop. The general misogyny level…

The action scenes are absolutely 10/10 it’s incredible what they did.
However a lot of the comedy didn’t land well with me, it has plenty of ‘cringe comedy’ moments which I am not a fan of in anything.

Mad Max 2 1981
Watching this for the first time, the sheer number of other things you realize are inspired by Mad Max boggles the mind. It is an extremely culturally defining movie. Beyond that, it is also extremely good.
The stunt work is incredible, it’s nice to look at, the characters are very interesting -if not in plot than at least visually. You get a good sense of what’s up with people without needing it explained. The world building is obviously good enough…

Wicked 2024
Honestly surprised the length didn’t feel dragged out to me. Some of the more cgi moments looked awful but broadly speaking the sets were great, the costuming was great. Do wish it was more vibrant. Songs and choreography were well done. I think if you liked Wicked you’ll definitely like Wicked.
