  Fantastic. I walked out of the cinema annoyed af which means the movie did its job. caught myself rooting for the mother to finally take her well-deserved drugs and leave the kid behind 😂

  A refreshing, fun, stylish satire set in an alternate universe ruled by lesbians where “straight white Maliens” are the minority. Loved the aesthetic and was entertained throughout. At times, I wished it had pushed a bit beyond the usual clichés and phrases (“you need to love yourself first before you can love someone else” etc). But i’d say, if you were fine with the “mainstream feminist” humor in Barbie (which I was), you’ll appreciate this one too.

  And the New Moon reference was iconic.
