  This film was a lot of fun! If you’ve seen the original Godzilla films, know the meaning behind the monster, and enjoy a throwback to a monster movie that is not overwhelmed by an absurd level of CGI, then check this one out. This movie won best visual effects at the Oscars for a reason. It not only incorporates the effects very well, it doesn’t overwhelm the story with cartoonish looking graphics, and it has a much deeper story than your typical monster adventure. I liked seeing Godzilla envisioned by a new generation of Japanese people who placed it squarely in the wake of WWII.

  Godzilla × Kong: The New Empire 2024

  I haven’t been watching the latest U.S. Kong/Godzilla series because they haven’t appealed to me. I have been a big fan of the historical series so more recent adaptions have not kept my interest. I took my nephew to see this one and it was as I expected. Would not recommend.
