    I love Little Richard, but this documentary has no spark. Which is kind of ironic considering all the twinkling star imagery that recurs throughout. The use of that imagery is completely unimaginative anyway, and is one of several odd choices in the film (such as recreations/performances by modern artists).     On a second watch, it's hard to deny the masterfulness of Todd Field's accomplishment here, which of course depends in large part on Cate Blanchett's incredible performance. This may actually be my favorite film of 2022.
