Kind of a basic and typical story - luckily I saw it on a plane, I would have been more disappointed otherwise.
The book was so much better but the sets and costumes and actors are incredible.
I think that reading the book is important — even if you do it after seeing the movie because the history of the Osage and the FBI didn’t make the script (it is long enough as it is!!) and those are important parts of the story too. If you do read the book after the movie you will likely have a hard time imagining anyone but…
Milo Machado Grado, the actor who plays the son, Daniel was absolutely amazing! He was so good that I just put the other couple of films he is in on my watch list. He’s only 15 but seems to have the maturity and wisdom to give a performance that rivals the very best and experienced actors. He deserves some awards for this.
Aside from that— Seeing how the French Court system works was also really interesting.
