  We’re both screwed up. It creates a bond.

  This the first movie I’ve watched of Rohmer's Six Moral Tales and possibly also the first one of the French New Wave. I’m delightfully surprised about how a mundane situation can be told with such symbolism. It took me a bit to see past the dense/sophisticated dialogue to truly delve into the leading actors silences and small gestures. That’s the true dialogue of the film.

  (Tbh I’m just in my quarter life crisis and human relationships are so complex that I’m more a tune with this theme in films)
