  saw this as a matinee after working out and what a crazy way to start my day. 

  trauma is a tough beat, but this was a truly beautifully done expression of the myriad of ways in which that trauma can fester and be overcome and consume you, both on the individual and community level. 

  also i’m just a sucker for any examination of the patron/artist relationship. there is just an intoxicating tension in such relationships that goes back to the beginning of the western art tradition and seeing the ways in which that tension changes costume throughout the ages is incredible .
