    Blink Twice

    ★★★★½

This is a psychological thriller with a great cast that has great chemistry.  Blink Twice is like Epstein but with adults.  This film depicts the evil that lays in the minds of some men and the blindness that women can develop.  An amazing directorial debut for Zoe Kravitz.

    Aftersun

    ★★★★★

Aftersun depicts an intimate portrayal of a father and daughter's relationship, shown through the daughter's eyes.   Sophie films the trip with her dad but as a child cannot see the cues of his depression.  As an adult she can see her father as a person and the pain he was in.  When he enters the rave at the end it’s as if he realizes he cannot deal with his demons.  Sophie as an adult fills in gaps of memory from the VHS tape of her vacation with her dad.

This movie was thought provoking and heart moving. To savor every moment with your true love. To create new memories and yet try to hold on to old ones.  The movie makes you feel you are there - watching the long goodbye while trying to hold on.

    Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

    ★★★★

Quantumania is enjoyable. The visuals are elegant, witty and well-executed,  Jonathan Majors does a great job as a villain.  His Kang is quiet, subdued, even sad.  He has a joyless drive to conquer and rule.

Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas add a comedic element.  Kathryn Newton does a great job and adds to the family dynamic theme.

    Overall a good movie.
