Conclave 2024
Knew from the second the Indian Paintbrush logo popped up that this was going to be beautifully shot but was not prepared for how many memorable stills there are. Perfect casting, perfect acting, perfect cinematography, perfect pacing, perfect plot.
No notes. Jake said it best that there was nothing that could be changed to make this movie better.

I Saw the TV Glow 2024
ALSO coming back to say that the trans theme in this is simultaneously so overt and never explicitly addressed… something I have never seen this strongly in a film before and clearly a demonstrable show of Schoenbrun’s skills as a storyteller. The scenery/soundtrack/shots alone were enough for me to love it, but this movie’s ability to capture such intense feelings of nostalgia and deep deep loneliness is so special.
Acting was not perfect and pacing could have been a little better, but definitely a film to come back to
