Easily my favorite pixar film I have seen. Despite having minimal dialogue, you learn so much more about the characters through their body language and emotion. I think that is pixars greatest strength. The movie is so deep crossing themes of the power of human emotions, good and bad of AI, and fighting in a broken world. The visuals are stunning as well along with a well rounded soundtrack. On top of that, the movie is genuinely funny and heartwarming at the same time. Easily not just one of my favorite animated films but movies in general.

Rob Roy 1995
Unfortunately, this movie came out the same year as another scottish hero film in braveheart. I feel this movie just kind of got unfairly put in braveheart’s shadow becuase I think this is the superior film. Rob Roy does a much better job potraying the time period of Scotland in the 1700’s. On top of that, the acting performances by the whole cast collectively exceeded my expectations. This is definitely an older style film and pretty slow in the beginning…
