Honestly editing has broken my brain, all I could think about in that lovely opening oner is how good the editor had it.
Good without being great; a beautifully shot, brilliantly acted (except from Naomie Harris’s inconsistent accent) film with a really fun premise (would have loved the whole film to be the dinner scene) that lacks nuance and subtle in its writing, often stating facts and character details rather than suggesting or showing in a way that would feel more fitting with the genre.
Shoutout to Tom Burke for once again playing a charming substance abuser, he makes typecasting look good.
