  LIKED: Opening credits, Ayo Edebiri first billed, title card, the music, the costuming, kind of the ending, Ayo Edebiri

  It was fine! It's guilty of what everyone's accusing it of - it's retreading what a lot of popular movies have been chewing over in the past few years, and it doesn't do anything particularly new or interesting (though I will give it credit for the John Malkovich jams. big fan of those).

  PS Very funny when John Malkovich talks about Caesar being kidnapped by pirates and we just watched Julius Caesar

  Imagine you're trying to go to college and they make you sign an NDA because a fucking British royal is going there. Imagine he's in your project group and you're like uhh Will where are your slides and he's like sorry I had to do an imperialism this weekend. I would be so livid.

  One scene I did like was Kate's parents eating ice cream together. O to be a married couple eating the tiniest little spoonfuls of ice cream right from the container. More romance in that moment than the rest of the film.
