  It’s not that I think this is a movie to be smug about… but it’s insane to me how republicans love this movie. It’s like the full experience to the selective thinking. THE MILITARY IS HARD, WE ARE THE GOOD GUYS, NO I WONT THINK BEYOND THAT.

  I asserted my dominance by watching this on a plane. My rowmate, a sixtyish year old Japanese man, could not look away at my screen. To be more intersectional and accommodating I put on subtitles so he could watch along too :). Once the movie was over, I had 4 more hours of the flight and I could really feel our connection growing with the second. This watch was sandwiched between Akira Kurosawa’s Dreams and Red Beard. I hope he liked our time together as much as I did. May he live a happy and free lifestyle like Tom Green.
