The director clearly had a clear vision for the show’s narrative. The director clearly showcases meticulous intentions when it comes to the portrayal of this series’ narrative. OST, cinematography, colour palette, colour grading and multi-cultural (Peranakan culture) aspects of this series is what clearly makes this queer series stand out from the rest.

I cried way too much like a baby. This film definitely helped me deal with my grief for my ama. What makes this film so great is that they focused on the ethnical background and culture of this family and how it affects them as a whole despite having been settled in Thailand for generations already. I really loved this film as I am also ethnically Chinese, so I could understand the nuances of this film perfectly. Hits home way too hard honestly speaking…
