  I went into this wanting to like it. This film has been in my watchlist for a long time now. Not only was I wanting to expand my knowledge of Nicolas Winding Refn’s filmography, I’d often heard Only God Forgives was similar in spirit to ‘Drive’ if perhaps not quite as good. Unfortunately this was a little worse than ‘not quite as good’.

  Here are some thoughts on Mulholland Drive: 
  -I experienced a full range of emotions throughout the watch.
  -I’m not a big fan of Naomi Watts.
  -The muddy lady shit me up for the rest of the film.
  -Justin Theroux is just like me, I too can be a silly billy.
  -Just turn the vacuum off.
  -Billy Ray Cyrus.
  -Some genuinely unnerving stuff.
  -Uncomfortable fever dream dread for the final quarter.
  -Does David Lynch even know what’s going on?
  -The ending didn’t fill me with a warm fuzzy feeling.

  I’m not sure how to evaluate this.
