Aside from being visually stunning in IMAX 3D, I’m pretty disappointed with this film, especially as a tribute to the late legend James Earl Jones.  I had higher expectations for this one than Moana 2, but, just like that film, the story here felt entirely pointless.  I thought this idea had potential, but it wound up being exactly what everyone feared it would be.

Even Lin-Manuel Miranda’s music in it is fairly mediocre, which, combined with “The Scuttlebutt,” has me…

As someone who has the entire original Nicole Kidman AMC pledge memorized and proudly puts my hand over my heart every time she struts onto the screen, you better believe I was sat for Her Majesty’s sex movie.  The film was somewhat outrageous, but it did offer a nuanced examination of women and men in positions of power.  There is a conspiracy we need to look into in that Queen Nicole’s AMC pledge was not played at my showing; I must find out if this was a widespread issue.  Overall, my main takeaway from this cinematic experience is that I really wish I wasn’t lactose intolerant.

Oh, bother.  Will I lose all credibility for saying this movie is decent?

I loved the first one, but that one was only good in the sense that it was a terrible campy masterpiece (much like Madame Web).  This one is somehow almost unironically good; it really reminds me of the leap in quality between the two Terrifier movies (not that this movie is as good as Terrifier 2).  The film is still very much oozing with camp, but, unlike its…

Madame Web is an incredible shit show.  I thoroughly enjoyed myself, just mostly not for reasons the film intended me to.

The only unironically positive thing that really comes to mind is a scene where they used “Toxic” by Britney Spears in a way I thought was pretty cool.  My favorite part of the movie, however, was the bad guy, who was like if the kid who wore a suit to high school became a supervillain.  I seriously laughed at almost every…
