Oscar film #10 or 10.
Found the entire slate of Best Picture nominated films this year to be very underwhelming.
I would put this film in the top half of those choices, but that's about it.

Oscar Best Picture nomination film 9 of 10.
I always say the more depressing the film the more I enjoy it. This one easily checks that box. However, I did find my head hurting with how the entire movie was shot.

Top Gun: Maverick 2022

Was nervous as the original is perfect. You can't improve on perfection. However this film felt like a mirror image of the first one, which keeps it as a different level and version of perfection.
There were some definite throw-backs and story that felt parallel to the first, but it was well done. And visually it was absolutely stunning. A lot of the flight scenes were gorgeous beyond belief. Will easily watch this one…
