Crimson Tide 1995
Excellent film from beginning to end. After the loss of the late Gene Hackman, I had to give this a watch as I’d never seen it before. He and Denzel absolutely rocked their roles. The supporting cast was filled to the brim with talent with Vigo Mortensen, James Gandolfini, Steve Zahn, Danny Nucci, and Lillo Brancato just to name a few. The story has never been more relevant than it is today. Highly recommend.

If you are aware of William Adams and his exploration through Japan as the first Englishman to reach it, then you’ll know this show has pulled some cool historical stories and has some grounding in reality. The cast is top notch, especially Sanada. This is my first time watching Cosmo Jarvis on screen and plan to follow his career from here on out. Hes definitely shown his talent within this series. Underrated film. With the amount of one liners and memorable moments I’m surprised this movie isn’t talked about more. Dennis Leary was absolutely phenomenal in this film. Hilarious and delivered his jokes perfectly. Never seen Kevin spacey in such a comedic film so that was also refreshing. The banter between him and his wife (Judy Davis) was HILARIOUS. Will definitely be a yearly holiday film from here on out.

To start off, I've noticed a lot of these reviews forget that this is the 1st of a 4 part saga. If you go in with that understanding, you will be far from disappointed. This film was great from start to finish. The multi-perspective storyline was handled perfectly and didn't feel like we spent more time with one group than the other. Costner really gave it his all and it shows in the cinematography and script. Jaime Campbell-Bower also had…
