Understated, European and documentarian like in air. Pusher II captures our protagonist, a recently released convict in moments that are at once intense, humorous and intolerable. Navigating baby mama drama, a hateful father and a proneness to racist friends.
Low on violence, but physically taxing,
it vaguely reminds me of the Safdie Brothers ability to put viewers in a heightened state of engagement.
