  Love Bong. Love R Patz. Love grim yet silly sci fi.
  First two acts are solid, but it fluffs the landing with a bloated, exhausting finale stuffed with subplots that, somewhat ironically, are thoroughly expendable. How meta!

  Takes about 30 mins before you realise that “oh, the whole film is going to be like this.”

  Ol’ Baz is just letting rip here and while it’s refreshing to see a biopic that’s not simply a dramatised Wikipedia page, the hyper-pop aesthetic takes the edge off the tragedy of Presley’s life and, dare I say, the damage capitalism will do to art.
