  keşke beni de ayartsa murat

  şaka bir yana, filme yönlendirilen eleştirilerden en çok dikkatimi çeken batının zevkine göre ve oryantalist bir bakış açısıyla yapıldığını söyleyenlerdi, bunu iddia edenler de "anadolumuzu nasıl böyle gösterirler" diye zırlamışlar. filmin sadece doğu-batu kötü-iyi ayrımı yaptığını düşünmüyorum, özellikle de ana karakterin suçlu olabileceğinin ima edilmesi yanı sıra ani kararlar verip gücünü düşünmeden kullandığı ve kasabalılara zaman zaman üstten baktığı için. birisi bunlara rağmen filmi olayları siyah-beyaz basitliğiyle ele almakla suçluyorsa bu kendi yüzeysel düşündüğü içindir…

  it's not without its flaws but i'd be lying if i said this wasn't one of the most genuinely thrilling movies i've experienced on the big screen in a while

  i feel like the movie doesn't try to be much. just two bored people vibing in tokyo. i like it as it is. also scarjo is really cute in it

  buttt besides that, the stereotypical portrayal of japanese people was annoying. it felt like straight up mockery in some parts.

  despite being full of clichés, it manages to be not boring. it did hit close to home which is obviously not a rarity for the audience of the movie.

  good acting and cinematography kind of save it, saoirse never disappoints and laurie did well too.

  yep, this was my first time watching timothée in a movie and even though i believe he could've done much more with his character, i loved him.
