Whiplash 2014
this was the first movie in SO LONG that i went into with no expectations, no knowledge of the plot, nothing. that was so refreshing and made me enjoy this 100x more.
i think the cinematography, especially the shot composition and lighting, was fantastic.
i enjoyed that it was somewhat open ended, and the performances from miles teller and jk simmons were of course great.

Despite the somewhat overdone concept, this film’s cinematography was gorgeous and the performances from Florence Pugh and Chris Pine, most notably, were exceptional. I can’t wait until this film is streaming so I can go back and look for all the minute details!!
