  Beautiful. So many complex story lines attached to and woven around one another. Every actor is astounding. Melancholic and semi-autobiographical, a masterful coming of age film. So detailed I initially thought it was a novel’s adaptation.

  Boobs. Ominous 1600s royalty, sidecars, reincarnation? Very queer with a timeless wit. Tilda Swinton may well be a time traveler, but she’s already an aristocratic European communist so adding shapeshifter to that list doesn’t seem far fetched.

  Grotesque but beautifully shot. The attention to set design and detail is impeccable. The use of the camera as an omnipresent entity is amazing. The angles are great, the light is great, Connie’s hair in the wheel was for some reason, so compelling. The psychological tension was drawn out infuriatingly well. I want to look into the cultural legends (re: the bear suit, the runic symbols, the drug use, the vocalizing, the flowers, the preparation of the dead). It avoided aggressive violence impressively, and the subdued execution of these heinous acts was incredible. The best horror film. Terribly intense content, but so well done.
