Oh my gosh this was so sweeeeeet!!!!!! A film without words is always something that entices me, and the way that the animals have no shared language makes it even more powerful. This poor little cat, I was very stressed out for the sweet thing. The power of friendship is just so prominent and a driving force in this film. My favorite part was the glimmer of hope they shared all together on the boat toward the end of the movie and how they all felt a sense of play resurface. Again, no shared language besides the urge to survive and the characterization of the prey.
I’m so glad I got to see this movie, especially right before awards season. With that being said I truly believe this film is going to sweeeeep. The raw emotion tightly wounded each scene together and i was locked in for the entire thing. He made me laugh out loud a little bit when he talked about his intervention in the beginning but then it became the whole special and then he started to do a lot of singing and I kind of disconnected. But then he would do a really good impression of Fred Armisen and my ears would perk up like a dog. Not bad but not great
