One of Sofia Coppola’s earliest masterpieces with beautiful cinematography that speaks for the shift that comes from miscommunication. No other film expresses the beauty of disconnection, the acceptance of loss and change to find peace or one’s self again through isolation, no longer longing for things that will never be, a period of time that feels like being pulled down from a cloud, looking for the next direction to take but not knowing where to step so naturally. 10/10
Submarine, I love when films manage to stop time to portray two characters falling in love as if nothing else matters, the way Oliver expresses his love for Jordana is refreshing, gives you hope. Maybe next time I like a boy I’ll randomly kiss him and take Polaroids, might be the code to him producing a slightly cringe movie with beautiful cinematography and a great playlist about us. 7/10
(Kinda jealous of Jordana 🙄😓)
