The Curse of La Llorona 2019
Better than I expected, given I don't particularly find the film's particular myth reference too interesting to start with.
Some nice jump scares, a bit of plot and character development. I watched it as background entertainment whilst I worked on other things. More of a personality mismatch than anything wrong with the film I suspect.Translated from by

Fear Street: 1666 2021
Surprisingly I liked the third installment better than the first 2 films, yet all were really good. It was an adhd dream, as each time I thought I could anticipate where the story was going, the direction changed, or a twist was introduced. Good use of music, continuity between all 3 parts, and manages to tick so many boxes without being cringey imo.
Kind of like Scream for the modern era, only good. And a more supernatural element.
