The Brutalist 2024
First half is amazing. Love the premise and the world, the character and its homages to The Fountainhead. Second half is a ridiculous betrayal of the premise. The tangent and deciding this movie was going to be about evil rich people annoyed me to no end. Commit to the bit, why does A24 always get bored by their scripts halfway and change the direction of the story? The cinematography, score, acting were amazing, but the movie as a whole is disappointing. I wanted to love this more than they left me with in the end.
