The Usual Suspects 1995
It’s really unfortunate that I watched the Key & Peele sketch riffing on this before I actually watched the movie, because the ending (which still might be my favorite ending to any movie ever) is absolutely amazing. Kevin Spacey, the creepy bastard that he is, delivers yet another impeccable performance. I still quote “the best trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist.”

The ultimate hill I will die on: this movie IS in fact better than TDK for several reasons. First, gotta get the obvious out of the way: Heath Ledger’s depiction of Joker absolutely clears Liam Neeson and Cillian Murphy’s Ra’s-Al Ghul and Scarecrow, respectively. However, the two combine to do more than a respectable job.
