  Mike Newell drops the ball on his first and only entry for the franchise. The main problem I have with the film is how it's adapted. It's not awful as it still contains all the key moments from the book, but they're rushed and don't reach the level of excitement when reading the book.

  A perfect start to the series! Chris Columbus gets the tone absolutely right and gives us a warm introduction to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Excellent final act, even if some puzzles were not included from the book.
