I enjoyed this movie but I feel like it wasn’t as impactful or engaging as other Yorgos Lanthimos movies. The deadpan delivery of lines didn’t work so much as there were no brutal truths that were trivial enough to justify no reaction. Poor things was a great film. It was a bit hard to get into at first but the payoff was fantastic.

Definitely a well needed prequel, I mean there was so much mystery around how the monsters got there in the first place.
I think the jump scares were done really well, either tension was built and paid off or they just got you out of nowhere. The persistent fear from all the characters really translated to me feeling fear as well.
