Nobody in cinema history has said “GOD DAMNIT” as good as Nick Nolte, that’s a fact you can take to the god damn bank.
Too bad Hollywood pulled the trigger on this when you could have had Nolte and Murphy team up for something else/new rather than retread the first movie (think Owen Wilson / Stiller movies or John C and Ferrell). More guns and ammunition than the first, lacks the heart and humor of the first.
Probably would have been my favorite movie other than The Treasure of the Sierra Madre had I been born in 1932. The classics become classics for a reason. It’s a beautifully shot and paced movie and the score matches it so well.
