This is an absolute hidden gem of a film - pun fully intended.
Prospect is gorgeous on all levels. I was instantly drawn to the gritty, woodsy, retrofuturistic aesthetic, which is well-executed throughout. The world feels lived-in with unique lore and I wish we got more than 100 minutes of runtime. The setting is stunning and I recognized the Pacific Northwest region as soon as I saw it (which makes my biologist heart very happy).

so incredibly bland and exhausting to get through. annoying and overly depressing to the point where it’s just pretentious and insufferable. 2 hours of pure nothingness. the couple had absolutely no chemistry. there was not one single moment where i believed these characters were ever in love. i get it’s supposed to be about a deteriorating relationship but there was never a spark there to begin with. the only thing i was rooting for was for this movie to be over!

i’m gonna be honest here. i watched this to support seb and if he wasn’t in it i probably wouldn’t have watched it at all..,, i’m not a fan of love triangles and this kinda felt like a 2013 wattpad fic come to life... AND WHY WAS EVERYONE SMOKING!!?? i respect that this ended up being a movie about a young woman just feeling totally lost with her life and trying to figure out her identity. it’s a really relatable concept…
