  Certainly worth comparing to Ender's Game: better than the film, not as deep as the book. In most Tom Cruise films, Tom Cruise plays Tom Cruise; however, I was thrilled with the character development he portrayed here. I'm not particularly interested in soldiers or war, but I think the concepts of honor and valor were really well explored. The Sci-Fi concept was pretty brilliant, and I'm glad they found space to inject some humor. I wish they would have had more restraint and NOT had the leads kiss.
