I’d put this in my top 5 category for John carpenter movies. Like all his movies it strikes an amazing balance between horror and comedy always focusing on the characters first and how they would react in the situation at hand. This movie can best be summed up as the expression an unstoppable force hitting an immovable object. In this case Harvey Keitel is the unstoppable force with his nonsensical rage and pent up anger and Keith Carradine as the unmovable object forced into the duels by his own honor and respect. The Pale Blue Eye 2022
For one this movie was just boring, no interesting camera work and the only character that isn’t a wet bored is absolutely insufferable when on screen. I don’t know who told Harry Melling he was doing a good job but they should stop, gave me an absolute head ache every time words came out of his word hole. Would not recommend this to anyone.
