I thought this movie had a good and simple plot, opera singer can’t sing to the fullest extent cause she had never been in love. She goes to find it from a man that has been admiring her from her window every night. It’s a cute story. The pacing sometimes was a little slow since there were no side plots and/or anything else that they talked about. Characters/actors were amazing. The ending really surprised me, I wasn’t expecting that twist!!!! Overall, solid movie :)

The plot was ok. I thought the acting was mid, with no one really standing out, except Gabriel Basso. It reminded me of a bad version of 12 Angry Men, the pacing was slow since we already knew who killed the girl. I hated the ending. It was left on a cliff hanger and I didn’t feel we got the resolution we needed after sitting there for 2 hours. Overall, it was mid, but I wouldn’t watch it again…

I absolutely loved this film! The characters were all amazing and the singing, coreo, setting, costumes, etc were exquisite! I have never seen the original stage version and even though this first act is 2:30, while the stage is 1hr, time flew by. I decided to watch the first act on YouTube and realized that the movie took its time to explain more plot details, have better bonds with characters and relaitionships, all while keeping the original close to heart.
I am so excited for Part 2!
