  John Wick: Chapter 4 2023

  Really really good. Must watch on imax. Great fight choreo, stunts, set pieces, cinematography, the new characters and soundtrack. Didn’t expect an action movie to have really great shots for cinematography, but this movie did a good job in that. 

  Every fight sequence just one upped after one another. The best for me was the long take that reminded the audience of the great soundtrack that appeared in the first installment of the franchise. 

  Overall. 2 thumbs up. Must watch. Cinema is back, great to see a packed theater even though it’s not a superhero or marvel film. Games not gone.

  The Whale 2022

  Absolute tearjerker. Fantastic performance by Fraser. Gut wrenching and brought me to tears a few times. I don’t usually cry in movies but his performance throughout encapsulated every aspect of his character perfectly. Even though the whole movie was set just set inside his apartment, there was never a dull moment and my eyes were glued to the screen the whole time.

  Painfully mediocre.

  Started off well because I could actually see the characters. Very difficult to see when the characters are in the quantum realm. 90% of the movie is Green screen and it gets quite jarring and distractive.

  The film is carried by Majors and Rudd in their performances but not enough to make the movie good.
