Watched this after watching the RoboDoc series. Much better than I remember it being, but its billing as a RoboCop reboot still feels like a huge mistake.  The DNA it shares with the original is so superficial that the invited comparison does it no favors. This movie is one part Batman Begins, one part Tropa de Elite (understandably) and one part Peter Weir’s Witness. The original Verhoeven is barely present.

But on its own, an interesting 2010s sci-fi flick with great performances from Keaton and Oldman.
