Things are definitely not always what they appear to be and though Kim Novak
had won over our hero’s she didn’t have my trust!😆 (the organ playing at night cinched that!) Anyways, a wacky way to finish a fairly long tale ensued and Jack Lemmon was terrific along w/ a very pleasant cast, headed up by the always amiable Fred Astaire. Kim Novak was, of course, lovely! While the City Sleeps 1956
Ida Lupino certainly provided the heat and Dana Andrews the “coolness” in this pretty good noir tale that got somewhat bogged down between the three guys (reporters) trying to catch John Barrymore’ Jr’s well played psycho killer, then neatly tidied up at the finish, thanks to Ida cleaning everything up with the boss (Vincent Price). Overall fun one to watch!
