Terribly, wonderfully ridiculous. A great watch when you commentate through the whole movie.
My fave part is when King Kong smiles at his adopted son Mini Kong. My second fave part is when Godzilla smiles because they beat the bad Kong called Skar Kong.
Late to the party on this one…
Really enjoyed it - enough to ask myself why I didn’t watch in cinemas and then I remembered I’ve got kids and going to the movies has turned into a special occasion again. I should’ve used up my occasional cinema visit with this movie when it came out.
Ryan Gosling is just so good at the doesn’t-take-himself-too-seriously, boy-from-next-door trope. I wonder when it’ll get stale? Maybe when he isn’t so damn ripped.
I’ll always adore Emily Blunt. And just when I could love Hannah Waddingham more - she rocks the vivacious, confident, power suit, producer woman
Would watch again.
“Anxiety…doesn’t get to decide who you are”
This line cut me to the core.
Everything this movie explores about anxiety and identity is so important. I will be showing my daughter this movie when she is 13.
Love the mash up of animation styles & the talking bum bag (called Pouchy) was hilarious.
Big question about what Reilly’s dark secret is… I think she’s probably gay. But anyone else feel free to provide other suggestions.
