This movie is alright. It’s fun to watch the characters react to time shifting, but nothing beyond that is terribly exciting. Probably won’t ever watch again.

This is likely one of the absolute strangest shows I’ve ever seen. For a low budget show, it’s alright. The acting isn’t stellar, but the storyline is what hooks you.  I’d like to rewatch it now that I know how it ends.

Emotionally powerful, yet very simple. Will probably be thinking about this film for a while. My only criticism is that his experience is devastatingly personal and raw, yet he rarely expresses that to others in the film. Surely that was artistically done on purpose to help show how our sense of hearing is much more personal than we even realize, because those of us with it take it for granted every living moment. I read a review that said this movie is a perfect pairing with the film Soul, and I could not agree more.

Decent acting, though Leto steals the show. Storyline felt a little slow at times, but the attention to detail was on par with what a crime film should follow. Malek’s performance got lost in the weeds. You wouldn’t expect this cast to have easy chemistry, but the scenes with Washington, Malek, and Leto together had me at the edge of my seat. This film reveals how difficult our inner psyche can be to control sometimes, yet at other times it’s unnervingly easy.

    TL;DR: For a star-studded cast I was left a bit underwhelmed.
