If you can get past the 30 or so uncomfortable minutes of what feels like Seth Rogan directed a midget porn version of Great Gatsby (beautifully shot but cringy as hell), it’s one of the best movies of 2022. Acting, stories and cinematography was an elevated mix of poignant, decadent, dark and funny. It’s what Amsterdam wished it had grown up to be. You get to fall in love with Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie is a whole new way and Diego Calva held his own in the constellation of stars.
