  Renee Zellweger is incredible in this. Completely does Judy Garland justice. However, the film as a whole does not.
  It sidesteps her trauma and abuse. By simply just showing the outcomes which are heartbreaking to see but they simply did not put enough weight to them. 

  Also, a real shame to see a mainstream film made in 2019 to portray stereotypes of queer people.

  The two stars are for Renee Zellweger and Renee Zellweger alone.

  Most of the film is pretty dull to be honest. But the last 10-20 mins is really good. Good action scene. I like the pod racing but scene is way too long. Also Jake Lloyd received so much unnecessary hate from this, he did a perfectly sound performance. Not the best child performance by no means but no way was he out of place or deserved any backlash from this.
