This was really quite good. The best way that I’ve seen it described is “subtle but deep”. The acting from Kieran Culkin and Jesse Eisenberg is top class. I found the story to be very original and touching. I found the dynamics between the group members to be really interesting to follow, as well as each member’s different personality and complexities. One of the most interesting things about this movie is that there is not one single big or really…

I don’t understand the hype behind this movie. About a month ago, I watched 85% of it then went to bed because it was THAT uninterested. I finally got around to finishing the last 15% and my opinion hasn’t changed. I can understand that you either love or hate this movie. Personally, I hated it. This is for two main reasons.

I’m going to separate my review based on the pre-intermission and post-intermission sections of the film because I felt completely different about each.

    Pre-intermission - 3.5/5
I thought the first half of The Brutalist was pretty good. The story was intriguing and it felt like it was going to play out very nicely. It effectively and accurately shed light what I believe were many of the realities and challenges faced by Eastern European immigrants during and after the Second World…

Solid complement to Masters of the Air. Provides more insight into the actual airmen who were in Masters of the Air. Really interesting and fascinating interviews, first hand accounts and real footage of the hundredth bomb squad. You should definitely watch Masters of the Air before you watch this. There wasn’t really anything new introduced that wasn’t in the drama so it was a tad bit repetitive. Overall, I found it to be really interesting and I think anyone who enjoyed the drama would enjoy it too. Shout out to Rosie.
