The Pale Blue Eye 2022
It has a very good cast and good acting but the writing was off. The “relationship” was pretty awful for what was supposed to come of it and the movie treats the audience as if they’re a little dull

A Field in England 2013
To be completely honest, I don’t know what this movie is about. I mean I understood the plot at a surface level but there is so much meaning here that ties to the English civil war, English and Celtic folklore, mysticism and magic in the 1600s that I simply don’t know much about.
Luckily though I believe that’s part of the point in this director-admitted “trip movie”. I spent an hour or two researching folklore and cinematography after watching this…
