The Other One: The Long, Strange Trip of Bob Weir 2014
Bobby never reached the same ‘godly’ status that Jerry achieved but he certainly is deserving (whether he would have enjoy it or not). The documentary does a nice job at showing how Bob’s spirit was essential to the dead and the counterculture. I didn’t love how the narrative is formed by what happened before and after Jerry’s death. It strayed away a little from the story of Bob to the story of Jerry’s impact. Nevertheless, this doc is worth watching not only for any deadhead, but any fan of music. “Let your life proceed by it’s own design” - JPB & Weir.
