Basically the greatest collaboration between Larry Fessenden and Stephen King that never was, and also one of the best depictions of the relationship between creative ambition and addiction I’ve ever seen put to screen.

Honestly the winter-y vibes of this movie slaps pretty hard it’s just papered-over one of the worst scripts I think I’ve ever encountered. As usual Fred Murphy’s cinematography and Viggo Mortensen do excellent work, but Andrew McCarthy has the charisma of a wet bag of dog food here
