  Eraserhead 1977

  Eraserhead was my first Lynch film that I had ever watched, and I disliked it a lot after I finished it. In hindsight, having Eraserhead be my introduction to Lynch was probably a bad choice. However, after watching the rest of his work and enjoying most of those films, I figured I'd go back to this one, and while I definitely liked it more than the first time around, I still find myself not really caring for and connecting with this film at all, as I did with a lot of his later films.

  There's nothing I can really add that hasn't already been said in the wake of David Lynch's passing. It just sucks to lose someone like him. It sucks that he wasn't able to get funding for stuff that he wanted to make after The Return. It makes you want to appreciate other directors and artists who are on the older side and still have a passion for their craft, and we should cherish that because before we know it, they…
